Frequently Asked Questions

  •  I specialize in maternal mental health, including support for new and seasoned moms experiencing anxiety, identity shifts, and overwhelm. I also work with clients healing from eating disorders, disordered eating, and the harmful effects of diet culture. My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, mindfulness, and body trust work to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and feel more at peace in your body and life.

  • Therapy can provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the emotional challenges of motherhood. Whether you're dealing with postpartum anxiety, mom guilt, burnout, or loss of identity, therapy helps you understand your experience, process difficult emotions, and feel less alone. Together, we can work toward more calm, clarity, and self-compassion—because you deserve support, too.

  • Diet culture is the system of beliefs that equates thinness with health, moral virtue, and worth. It often leads to chronic dieting, body shame, and disordered eating. In therapy, we gently explore how diet culture has impacted your relationship with food, body, and self. Using a non-diet, trauma-informed approach, we work toward body trust, food freedom, and self-acceptance—no more shame or restriction, just deeper connection.

  • Yes, I offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals struggling with eating disorders, including binge eating, restriction, bulimia, food-related anxiety and avoidance, and orthorexia. I blend IFS therapy, somatic awareness, and body trust work to support deep, lasting healing. This approach helps you connect with the emotional roots beneath the symptoms and rebuild the innate sense of trust you were born with—in your body, and in your relationship with food.

  • IFS therapy is a powerful, trauma-informed modality that views our minds as made up of different “parts”—some that protect us, some that carry pain, and all of which have value. IFS helps you access your inner Self, the calm and compassionate part of you that can lead your healing. It’s especially helpful for those who feel stuck in reactive patterns, people-pleasing, body shame, or internal conflict.

  • Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. We’ll begin by exploring what’s bringing you in, and together we’ll build the safety and trust needed to go deeper. I may gently guide you through mindfulness practices or invite you to connect with your inner world using Internal Family Systems (IFS). My intention is to help you feel heard, empowered, and more connected to yourself—not just during sessions, but in your everyday life. Healing starts within, and from there, we work toward creating a life that feels more aligned, grounded, and fulfilling.

  • That varies for each person. Some clients feel noticeable relief after a few sessions, while others engage in longer-term work, especially when healing from complex trauma or long-standing patterns. I also offer therapy intensives—deep-dive sessions designed to create meaningful shifts in a shorter period of time, ideal for moms and others looking for more immediate support.

  • Yes, I offer secure online therapy in California, so you can get the support you need from the comfort of home. Virtual sessions are just as effective and allow for greater flexibility, especially for busy humans or those navigating life transitions.

  • If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or burdened by shame or anxiety—therapy can help. Whether you’re a mom navigating postpartum emotions or someone trying to unlearn diet culture and reconnect with your body, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy offers a space to heal, grow, and feel more like you again.

  • At this time, I do not accept insurance directly. I’m currently in the process of becoming credentialed with CCAH for Medi-Cal clients, and I hope to begin offering services through that program by July 1, 2025.

If you're using private insurance, I can provide a monthly superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and benefits vary by plan, but I’m happy to support you through the process and provide the documentation you need.

  • My fee for a standard 50-minute therapy session is $180. I also offer therapy intensives, which are longer, deeper sessions designed for more focused work. Fees for intensives vary depending on length and structure — you can find more details on the Intensives page.

If you have questions about payment, insurance reimbursement, or sliding scale availability, I’m happy to talk through options during a free phone consultation.

  • Starting is simple. You can here to schedule a free consultation. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit. I’m here to support you wherever you are in your journey.
